Countdown madness

I'm counting down to so many things right now, I must share. (Yes, I count down to things. Because I'm 12. Haven't we gone over this?)

Days until my HALF MARATHON:

Holy crap! That's less than the amount of miles I'll be running!! Scared? Yep. Excited? YEP! Am I going to rock my last long run of 12 miles this weekend? Hopefully.

(Times I've mentally hallucinated about this race: about a million bajillion)

Days until I  finally get to join the world of "Lookie, I have an iPhone. I'm cool!":

...which is also the amount of days until you finally get to find out why I purchased those Legos.

Days until The Hunger Games is in theaters:
CAN. NOT. WAIT!

And, because I'm a sucker for projects, my latest Pinterest-inspired art project:

The original

Mine:

It occurred to me that this would probably only look ok in a kid's room. (Note to self: Next time tone down the color palette). I'm not quite sure what to do with it. Unfortunately there are no longer any young girls in my family, so maybe I'll try to sell it on etsy.  At least it gave me something to do for an afternoon.

Are you counting down to anything right now?

Have you ever made anything (other than food) that you saw on Pinterest?

  1. I'm so excited for your race! I wish I wasn't a giant lame and was coming to run it with you guys!

I'm counting down to when I get my car back (hopefully only a couple of hours) and when Mike gets home (after work).

  4. I'm so excited for you to run your first half.

That thing would look great in a little girl's room. I'd buy it, but Faith has a strict jungle theme going on :)

  6. I am, as always, in awe of your craftiness. I can't wait to hear about how awesome your half is! You are going to kill it. I'm also dying to know what's up with the Legos. And holy crap, 44 days, which is crazy in relation to all the major events I have right before or right after that!

    1. What? Are you, like, having a baby or moving into a new house, or something?

  7. Every time I see your countdown to the race I am totally shocked and positive you must be wrong. 10 days....what?? I'm so excited for you to have an iphone (you will LOVE it!) and for the Hunger Games (obviously). I'm going at midnight Thu and taking off Friday! That thing is awesome. I've never made anything from Pinterest. I am not crafty. I did make my own wedding invitations, favors, and programs though. With lots of help.

    1. You did your own wedding invites? That's impressive! I hope someday to be able to make my own :)

Our race is dangerously close! I'm freaked! I may need some Xanax. Or valium. Or to be put out of my misery.
