Top of the Hill with the Pittsboro crew and a new face, followed by drinks at another bar. Sunday was brunch with Erin, perusing the stores in Apex, and of course, grocery shopping. (I'd LOVE to be able to pay someone to do that dreaded task for me...along with taking a shower. I have no patience for showering. Is that strange?)
Ok, here comes the randomness.
How great it TJMaxx? Ok, so I wasn't supposed to be shopping, but how often do you find shoes this fabulous that are not only comfortable, but way cheaper than normal retail? This is literally now the only pair of heels I own. Judge me if you must. But I love them. They also came in dark blue, which was a lot less "loud", but I opted for the red. I wonder if that's a sign of some sort.
Also, there is a pair of shorts that I've been wanting for weeks, at Dicks Sporting Goods. I haven't bought them because I just can't justify buying a pair of running shorts for $30 when I can get a pair that look almost the same (albeit in much more boring colors), at Target. At brunch, Erin was wearing the shorts! I've searched and searched online and can't find a picture of them (even on the Dicks Sporting Goods site. Jerks), so you'll have to imagine the regular Nike running shorts (picture below), but yellow with pink polka dots instead of the purple or blue with navy polka dots. Yeah, I know. Totally awesome (in Minnesotan accent).
After being paralyzed with jealousy (no, not really), I made it home last night and made chicken parmigiana. I made up the recipe and have made it once before, so I hoped it would be a success.
It was delicious. This picture is making my mouth water. I'm hungry. Yeah, I know, I'm always hungry.
Ok, today's random photo:
I love this font, but I'm not sure yet what it is. I will be doing some research and I will figure it out. Stay tuned.
