Rest day

I don't know about you, but I'm dang glad the week is almost over. This has been a rough one...for my brain AND my body. Today is my rest day for the week and I'm pretty sure I'll be in bed by 8pm tonight (if not earlier).

Kickboxing last night went much better than it's been going the last couple of weeks. I got a good laugh at the two girls who clearly were there to "have some fun" and probably should have just hung out in the corner and gossiped while checking themselves out in the mirror. It makes me feel really glad to know there's at least someone's ass I can definitely kick. (Pardon my french. "Butt" just didn't seem like a raw enough term in this case, for my current state of being).

I leave you with a little peek inside my day:

That, my friends, underneath all that yellow crap, is a document that I formatted. Those annoying yellow things? Changes to the text of that document; text that I copied straight from the proof that I was sent. The changes are from the person who sent me the original file. WELCOME TO MY DAY!

  1. If it makes you feel better, then I'm glad this week is almost over for you too :)

UGH! I'm annoyed by girls that clearly could care less about working out. Why even come? Go to starbucks or something instead.

What program is that screen shot from?? I'm intrigued!

  2. It's actually from a PDF document. I create PDFs after I design or format projects in a design program (Illustrator, InDesign, etc.), and then send them to be reviewed by the respective project manager. The PM uses the "sticky note" feature to add edits to the PDF for me to make in the design program. (I'm sorry if none of that make sense. I can explain it better if you're interested in using it :)

And yes, I agree with you about girls who don't go to workout classes to work out. It does, however, give me great motivation. I can pretend I'm punching and kicking them in the mirror ;-)

  3. When I taught cardio kickboxing, I had fun when girls like that came to class. Then it was time to hit the heavy bag for an hour! Hahahaha

  4. Kara, you taught cardio kickboxing?? That's awesome! If I become rich, can I pay you to be my personal kickboxing trainer?
